MEDICO provides free medical, dental, optometric care and educational services to people in Honduras. Trips are about one week. All health care skills needed. Medical, dental, nursing students welcomed.
Our vision is to provide comprehensive medical, dental and spiritual care to the people of Northern Honduras. The Jungle Hospital’s geographical focus is the mountainous region known as La Cuenca Cangrejal, the Cangrejal Cove. This covers over 1,000 sq miles of jungle just south of La Ceiba, and is home to over 15,000 villagers. The Jungle Hospital in the village of Rio Viejo, is implementing the comprehensive health care model developed by Healing Hands Global.
We sponsor an annual January medical mission to Honduras to provide medical, dental and eye care to Hondurans living in rural and mountain villages who have no access to healthcare or medicine. We welcome participation from doctors, dentists, nurses, pharmacists, optometrists and translators.

They become part of a Christian family and as such receive all the benefits; the gospel, love, protection, food, clothing, education, and Godly parents who care as their own.
Global Outreach for Addiction Leadership develops trains and supports international indigenous Christian leadership in alcohol and other drug addiction treatment, encouraging community based prevention and 12-step recovery. Current work in Romania, Honduras and Russia. Short term trainers needed.
(Guaimaca, Honduras) For children who have been orphaned or abandoned, perhaps physically or mentally abused. Housing, school, vocational training. Volunteers welcomed to apply to help with meals, selling products (in our store) made at the orphanage, taking care of the toddlers, with building projects and maintenance, the farm etc. Spanish not necessary.
Roatan Volunteer Pediatric Clinic needs pediatricians who are interested in one month (or longer) rotations. We provide transportation and housing for board-certified or board-eligible pediatricians. Third year pediatric residents can spend a four week rotation. Volunteer pediatric nurses, respiratory therapists and pharmacists are urged to contact us.
A modern pediatric outpatient clinic within the Roatan Public Hospital, staffed year-round with volunteer pediatricians from the U.S., rotating on a 1 month-plus basis. Also, a structured elective rotation for pediatric resident physicians in their last year of training. Transportation and housing provided.

Fundación Free the Oppressed was formed in Honduras in 1995 to direct and run all the work envisioned by Jimmy Hughes Ministries. Since then Reverend Jimmy Hughes, his family, and Staff have invested in the lives of thousands of Honduran children, teenagers, and adults.
Make A Difference provides service projects to help the poor, disabled and neglected. We organize volunteers to build homes, repair damaged buildings, remove unsafe structures, distribute food and clothing, mentor youth, shape learning centers and playgrounds and encourage art projects. Spring break and summer projects. We’ve worked in Cuba, Honduras, Bahamas, etc.
Honduras Baptist Dental Mission provides professional assistance for volunteer mission teams including doctors, nurses, pharmacist, veterinarians, construction teams, evangelists, etc. to poor villages and rural areas of Honduras. In some cases we provide sponsorship of people for surgery in the U. S. that cannot be performed in Honduras.
Sandy Bay Lighthouse Ministries works with children of Roatan, Honduras through an orphanage, youth center, and educational sponsorships. Volunteers welcome for construction teams, sports, art, drama and computer camps. Also need staff teachers and construction workers.

This is accomplished through Casa Cielo Children’s Home, Christian School of Creative Learning, Compassion House, assisting public schools, and doing outreaches to the government hospital and villages on the Caribbean Coast. It is known as a haven where hope can be found.
