Established in 1961 in Arlington, Virginia, WETA (The Greater Washington Educational Telecommunications Association) provides an array of multimedia programs and services, including television and radio broadcasting, production of television and radio programming and Web and community-based outreach and services. WETA’s mission is to produce and broadcast programs of intellectual integrity and cultural merit that recognize viewers’ and listeners’ intelligence, curiosity and interest in the world around them. WETA TV 26 and 90.9 FM are public broadcasting stations serving the Greater Washington area with educational, informational, musical, cultural and public affairs programs and services.
