Washington Environmental Council

Founded in 1967, the Washington Environmental Council (WEC) is a statewide advocacy organization that works at the state level to improve and enforce our environmental laws. WEC has over 3,500 individual and organizational members throughout Washington. We protect Washington’s environment and natural heritage for current and future generations by advocating for improved state protections and better enforcement of existing laws. WEC currently focuses on three areas: the sustainable state forests campaign; the healthy streams campaign; and the habitat protection campaign.
