University of Tulsa

Founded in 1894, the University of Tulsa (TU) is a private, independent, doctoral-degree-granting institution. The university educates men and women of diverse backgrounds and cultures to become literate in the sciences, humanities, and arts; think critically, and write and speak clearly; succeed in their professions and careers; behave ethically in all aspects of their lives; welcome the responsibility of citizenship and service in a changing world; and acquire the skills and appetite for lifelong learning. TU is affiliated with the Presbyterian Church (USA) and is one of the Presbyterian Church’s largest doctoral degree granting institutions of higher education. TU has a total enrollment of 4,174 (2,756 undergraduate, 753 graduate, 665 law).
