The Aspen Institute is an international organization founded in 1950. The Institute fosters enlightened leadership and open-minded dialogue. Through seminars, policy programs, conferences and leadership development initiatives, the Institute and its international partners seek to promote nonpartisan inquiry and an appreciation for timeless values. Today the Aspen Institute supports 15 policy programs directed by leading policymakers and practitioners. The programs explore topics such as international peace and security, democracy and citizenship; economic opportunity; social innovation through business; the nonprofit sector; and community initiatives for children and families.
