The Suncoast Humane Society is a private community-supported animal welfare organization. Our purpose is to protect and provide for animals, while creating an awareness of their value and importance in our lives through educational and community programs. The Society serves portions of Sarasota, Charlotte and Lee counties. Our service area covers over 400 square miles in southwest Florida and provides care for over 5,000 animals annually. Programs include a spay/neuter and wellness clinic, thrift shop and sheltering contracts with two counties.
