Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Council

The Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Council was formed in 1993 by local citizens to seek ways to help the Sheriff’s Department maintain their efficiency, improve their effectiveness in the short term and seek innovative solutions to the increasingly complex problems faced by local law enforcement public safety employees. The Council helps fill the gap between the county’s increasing public needs for law enforcement and limited county funds. It functions primarily as a fund raising vehicle, with emphasis on supplementing equipment and training for law enforcement personnel, increasing both community and officer safety.
