Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Cincinnati provides a supportive “home away from home” for families and their children who are receiving treatment at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center or other area hospitals, regardless of their ability to pay. Our House provides a comfortable place where families can sleep, eat home-cooked meals and meet others facing similar situations and offer support to one another during difficult times. Our original House in Cincinnati (under the name Children’s Family House) opened its doors on November 14, 1982 and served more than 11,000 families from across the US and around the world. Since opening our new 48-bedroom House in November 2001, we have averaged a 97% occupancy rate.
