Founded in 1991, The PATH Foundation is an organization dedicated to developing a metrowide trail system for Atlanta. A team of experienced trail builders oversees the planning and development of PATH’s greenway trails and raises funds to continue building trails for Atlanta. Both the City of Atlanta and DeKalb County have partnership agreements with PATH to build trails. PATH trails enhance community spirit and bring neighborhoods together. PATH is committed to creating a network of trails throughout Georgia. Significant portions of that network already include the following trails: The Silver Comet, Stone Mountain, Lionel Hampton, Westside, Arabia Mountain, Chastain Park, South Decatur Trolley, Northwest Atlanta, and Freedom Park.
