Organic Consumers Association

Formed in 1998, the Organic Consumers Association (OCA) is a grassroots, public interest organization campaigning for health, justice, and sustainability. The OCA deals with crucial issues of food safety, industrial agriculture, genetic engineering, corporate accountability, and environmental sustainability. We are the only organization in the US focused exclusively on the views and interests of the nation’s estimated 10 million organic consumers. OCA represents over 600,000 members, subscribers and volunteers and hundreds of companies in the natural marketplace. We are working to cease genetically-engineered foods and crops, phase-out dangerous industrial agriculture and farming practices, and convert American agriculture to be at least 30% organic by 2010.
