Natural Resources Council of Maine

The Natural Resources Council of Maine harnesses the power of people, science, and law to protect Maine’s environment. Our programs unite and coordinate efforts for the advancement of natural resource conservation and to relate the economy of Maine to its natural resources, addressing issues including air and water pollution, rivers, land use, public lands, energy, and forestry. Our vision is of a Maine where citizens from all parts of the state and all walks of life feel that their grandchildren will inherit a place where the water is pure, the air is clean, the forests are vibrant, and native plants and animals are safeguarded.
