National Wild Turkey Federation

The National Wild Turkey Federation (NWTF) is dedicated to the conservation of the wild turkey and the preservation of the hunting tradition. Since 1973, the NWTF, along with federal, state and provincial wildlife agencies and the NWTF’s many volunteers and partners, have helped the turkey population in North America to increase from 1.3 million to 7 million, and have helped the turkey hunters to grow from 1.5 million to 3 million. The NWTF is a half million member grassroots organization with members in 50 states, Canada and 11 other foreign countries. It supports scientific wildlife management on public, private and corporate lands as well as wild turkey hunting as a traditional North American sport.
