National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Gateway Area Chapter

The National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Gateway Area Chapter is a chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. The Gateway Area Chapter established in 1955, contributes to funding for the Society’s research program and provides services to the more than 5,000 people living with MS, as well as the more than 35,000 people affected by the disease, in a 90-county service area covering the eastern half of Missouri and the southern third of Illinois. The Chapter’s service programs include: education programs, a helpline for referral services; family support programs; counseling; therapeutic recreation (MS yoga and aquatics); financial assistance for medical equipment; transportation; respite programs and more.
