National Kidney Foundation of Michigan

An affiliated branch of the National Kidney Foundation, the National Kidney Foundation of Michigan (NKFM) works to prevent kidney disease and improve the quality of life for those living with it. Founded in 1955, the guiding principles of the organization are to: strive to prevent kidney and urologic disease; promote quality of care for renal consumers; encourage rehabilitation for renal consumers; promote organ and tissue donation; support research of chronic kidney disease; increase public awareness and education; and advocate for needed funding.
