Founded in 1958, Methodist Theological School in Ohio (MTSO) is a center of theological inquiry that, because of its commitment to the gospel of Jesus Christ, values open discussion in a context of caring relationships, enabling individuals to develop their gifts in preparation for service to the church and the world. In response to the grace and call of God in Jesus Christ, MTSO is committed to excellence in theological education that will enable the people of God for lay, diaconal and ordained ministries of the church in the world. MTSO traditionally enrolls between 260 and 280 students each year.
