Medical College of Wisconsin

The Medical College of Wisconsin traces its roots to 1893 with the founding of the Wisconsin College of Physicians and Surgeons. The Medical College is a private, academic institution dedicated to leadership and excellence in education, research, patient care, and service. The Medical College of Wisconsin offers the MD, PhD, MS, MPH and MA degrees. The College provides residency and fellowship training in almost all medical specialties and subspecialties. In 2004, the National Institutes of Health ranked the Medical College 42nd among the nation’s medical schools for NIH research funding amounting to $94.3 million, placing the College in the top 33% of the nation’s 125 medical schools.
