Established in 1979, the Marine Corps Heritage Foundation (MCHF) is dedicated to the preservation and promotion of Marine Corps history and tradition. We directly support the historical programs of the Marine Corps in ways that might not otherwise be available through government funds. MCHF operates a retail store which sell Marine Corps logo merchandise. The Foundation provides internships and fellowships for Marine Corps historical projects, sponsors writing competitions, and provides financial support to the history and museums division. We raise funds to aid the building of the Marine Corps Heritage Center, which will be a multiple use complex of buildings and outdoor facilities devoted to the presentation of Marine Corps history.
