MANNA FoodBank

Founded in 1982, MANNA FoodBank works to involve, educate and unite people to end hunger in Western North Carolina. We link the food industry with over 342 member agencies in 17 counties. Food is collected from local supermarkets, farmers, food processors and distributors, NC State government and US Department of Agriculture, individuals and organizations’ food drives. Through America’s Second Harvest, the national food bank network, national food companies donate food also. The Foodbank benefits hungry men, women and children by providing approximately 8,000 meals each day, 365 days of the year.
