Hoag Hospital Foundation works to inspire philanthropy that will help transform the hospital, the donor, and the community through assurance of excellence at Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian. The foundation supports the hospital for expansion, equipment, nursing scholarships, and various quarterly budget expenses. Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian is an acute care, not-for-profit hospital that provides advanced medical programs in many specialties as well as four renowned centers of excellence: Hoag Cancer Center, Hoag Heart and Vascular Institute, Hoag Orthopedic Services and Hoag Women’s Health Services. Since opening in 1952, Hoag has grown from 75 licensed beds to 409; from 68 physicians to more than 900; and from 60 employees to more than 3,600.
