Habitat for Humanity of Northern Virginia (HFHNV) is a Christian ministry seeking to draw together the time, talent and resources of our community to build decent, affordable housing for God’s people in need. Habitat’s unique approach to low-cost home ownership relies on buyer sweat equity, donor generosity, volunteer labor and an interest-free mortgage. HFHNV is the Northern Virginia affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International. Founded in 1990, we build homes in Arlington and Fairfax Counties as well as the cities of Alexandria, Falls Church and Fairfax. HFHNV has built over 47 homes in the last 14 years. Today we have the capacity to build many single-family homes, town homes, or duplexes in a year
