Founded in 1997, the Great Valley Center (GVC) works to support activities and organizations that promote the economic, social and environmental well-being of California’s Great Central Valley. We believe that the region can successfully support important natural resources, productive agriculture, a healthy economy and livable communities. We encourage strategic thinking about the future of the region and support policies and actions that will enhance its sustainability. By providing citizens, local organizations, and local governments with access to a wide range of information and resources, GVC is working to ensure a livable future for what is truly California’s Heartland.
