Grand Rapids Community Foundation

The Grand Rapids Community Foundation, the oldest foundation in Michigan, was founded in 1922. It continues to fund, initiate, and lead programs that benefit Grand Rapids and all of Kent County in the arts, community development, education, the environment, health, and human service. Over the past eight decades the Grand Rapids Community Foundation has helped thousands of people enrich their lives through grants and scholarships totaling approximately $84 million. The role of the Foundation has diversified from grantmaker to collaborator and from asset manager to resource developer as it searches for long-term solutions to improve the Grand Rapids community.
