Fund for the Arts

Established in 1949, the Fund for the Arts (FFTA) is the oldest united arts fund in the country. The Fund provides programming and administrative support for twenty-five area arts groups and programs. This includes grants and resources to neighborhood groups, which offer cultural opportunities to minorities and in under-served areas, as well as supporting school arts programs and bus subsidies for school children to attend arts events. Last year a total of 200 grants were distributed to community groups and schools in Kentucky and Southern Indiana. FFTA member groups entertain approximately 1.5 million people each year, and more than 450,000 students experience the Arts through educational outreach programs.
