Founded in 1970, the Deputy Sheriff’s Fraternal Organization works to maintain a strong state organization of Deputy Sheriffs and other law enforcement officers who are committed to presenting positive perceptions of law enforcement, to the public, through a variety of programs designed for children of special circumstances. Our programs provide charitable, educational, recreational, and social opportunities to these children. Programs include Shop with a Deputy, an annual event which helps to supply children in need with clothes and toys, and Deputy Duffel’s, which enlists a uniformed deputy or police officer to take a duffel bag full of goodies to seriously ill children in local hospitals
