The Dallas Zoological Society supports the Dallas Zoo and The Dallas Aquarium at Fair Park and shares with these institutions a dedication to wildlife conservation. The Society was founded in 1955 to help develop one of the most outstanding zoological collections in the nation, in partnership with the Dallas Zoo. The Society’s board and staff work in close collaboration with the professional staff and director of the Dallas Zoo and The Dallas Aquarium at Fair Park, and with the City’s Park and Recreation Board, to promote the continued growth and development of the Zoo and Aquarium.
