Founded in 1993 and opened in 2001, COPIA: The American Center for Wine, Food & the Arts is a cultural museum and educational center dedicated to exploring the distinctively American contribution to the character of wine and food in close association with the arts and humanities, and to celebrating these as a unique expression of the vitality of American life, culture and heritage. The Center is committed to the development and presentation of inspiring and highly educational programs, to incorporating current scientific knowledge and aesthetic concepts with insightful and informative exhibitions, performances and experiences, and to engaging local, national, international, professional and general audiences, youth and families.
