Founded by Christel DeHaan in 1998, Christel House International helps children of the world break the cycle of poverty and become self-sufficient, contributing members of society. Every child deserves the opportunity to build a full and rewarding life. We offer children a place to learn and achieve success with dignity. They are taught to develop a passion for learning and maximize their human potential. Since our founding, we have established non-residential learning centers in Mexico, India, South Africa, Venezuela and the United States that currently serve nearly 2,000 children. We focus on holistic child development in five areas: academics, nutrition and health care, character development, career preparation, and parent and community outreach.
