Chicago Anti-Hunger Federation

The Chicago Anti-Hunger Federation (CAHF) is dedicated to alleviating hunger in metropolitan Chicago through the distribution of quality food, education, training and advocacy. CAHF provides a dependable supply of high-quality staple foods and fresh fruits and vegetables to 200 soup kitchens, shelters and emergency food pantries. Our Training Institute offers educational opportunities for those in the food service industry. CAHF tracks developments regarding poverty issues and provides information on opportunities for action to member agencies, supporters and the general public. CAHF serves an average of 50,000 hungry people each month, many of them children and seniors, for a total of 3.6 million meals each year.
