Capital Area United Way (CAUW) is a volunteer-based network of people who provide community services to those in need. CAUW is currently funding 54 health and human service agencies and 41 strategic grant programs in the 10-parish Capital Area. The organization has been making a difference in the Baton Rouge community since 1925. Trained and experienced volunteers ensure that every group receiving funds is a nonprofit, tax-exempt charity governed by volunteers, and that it submits to an annual independent financial audit, and provides services at a reasonable cost.
