Boy Scouts of America, Chief Seattle Council

The Boy Scouts of America, Chief Seattle Council, is the Seattle council of the national Boy Scouts of America organization. The council’s primary purpose is to organize and supervise the scouting program. The primary purpose of the scouting program is to provide education for youth and youth adults led by trained volunteers. This is accomplished through community service, character building, citizenship training, career exploration and high adventure programs. The mission of The Boy Scouts of America is to serve others by helping to instill values in young people and, in other ways, to prepare them to make ethical choices over their lifetimes in achieving their full potential.
