Established in 1981, the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank works to help feed hungry people in our community. Since then, the Food Bank has distributed over 86 million pounds of food throughout our service area. Our service area includes nine cities and 25 counties, and we have four area branches. Our network serves, collects and distributes food and related products to qualified churches and nonprofit organizations. Over 425 member agencies provide free meals or supplemental and emergency food boxes to those in need.
