The Arthritis Foundation – Michigan Chapter was the first local chapter of the Arthritis Foundation which was formed at the University of Michigan in 1948. Today, our mission is as important as ever as we continue to combat the nation’s most debilitating disease throughout the State of Michigan. The Arthritis Foundation-Michigan Chapter is the only voluntary health agency in Michigan providing for education, research, and improved treatment for all of the more than 100 forms of arthritis. Through arthritis awareness programs, scientific research, public and professional education, and various other community services, the Arthritis Foundation is the place for Michigan residents to turn for help with arthritis.
