The Arthritis Foundation – Metropolitan Washington Chapter works to improve lives through leadership in the prevention, control and cure of arthritis and related diseases. There are over 830,000 men, women and children with arthritis living in the metropolitan Washington community. Through a variety of educational classes, land and aquatic exercise programs, public awareness forums, and other resources, we are able to provide information about various types of arthritis, medications and treatment options, and strategies to better manage arthritis. Our Chapter serves the District of Columbia; Montgomery and Prince George’s Counties in Maryland; Arlington and Fairfax County; the cities of Alexandria and Falls Church of Virginia.
