Spend 1-2 weeks immersing yourself in a new culture as you work side-by-side with local families. Spend your off days sight-seeing in this beautiful and fascinating country.

Sri Lanka is a country that had been ravaged by a brutal civil war from the early 1980s to May of 2009 as well as a tsunami in 2004. Both events have destroyed lives, homes, and has stalled economic growth. The Fuller Center has partnered with the United Christian Fellowship to help build safe, decent, and affordable homes for families in need. Many of these families live in slums or wooden shacks and during the rainy season these shacks get washed away or left in worse condition.

Participants will have the unique opportunity to work side by side with the homeowners and other locals to build these new homes. In addition to providing safe housing, these trips provide locals with jobs, help support the local economy and create a life-changing experience for all involved.

If you have a heart for combining service, traveling and experiencing new cultures than this trip is for you!
