Educational Services Exchange with China (ESEC)

No teaching certificate or ESL/TESOL training required. Also no support-raising required. Help Chinese primary school kids improve their spoken English while reflecting the love of Christ.

Facilitators lead games and activities in English, teach about American culture and Christian values, and spend individual time with kids outside the classroom. Kids come from all over China come to participate in the English camp for 1 week in Beijing, China. Facilitators may run several camps during their 1 month service, or they may help lead in ESEC/TIP’s other programs, such as the 18-day adult English program: the Total Immersion Program.

You’ll lead a group of 20 kids in games and activities, prepare lessons and activities, work as part of a team, live in community with other teachers, adapt to a new culture, work flexible hours.

Session 1: July 3 – July 31, 2015 and/or Session 2: July 26 – Aug 24, 2015

You’ll need a heart to serve Christ, possess a positive attitude, ability to collaborate in a team environment and the ability to adjust to last minute changes as necessary.

Volunteer, no fund-raising required. Housing provided, but individual is responsible for flight and visa expenses.
