Teamwork! That's what it takes to see our vision for the Chimane radio ministry become a reality.  Teamwork is a coordinated effort by a group of people for a common goal. The common goal - to help reach the Chimane people scattered along the rivers of Bolivia. The group of people -- ordinary people like you and me. The coordinator -- our faithful God.

It's amazing to see the way the Lord touches the hearts of people to share in our vision and help meet our needs.

TESTIMONIES

Horeb, 26 de Julio de 2004

By Adrķan Roca

This testimony is for you, brothers, you live across the sea. I am your brother, Adrķan Roca Moye; I send this word for you. Even though I haven't seen you, we who believe in God are brothers together before God's face, because there is just one God, the one who lives in heaven and made this world and the heavens and also everything we see.

I continue working for God making radio programs teaching God's Word so that our relatives (fellow tribal members) continue hearing God's Word by radio. They are for those who are already believers and also for those who are not yet believers. I am very concerned for my own relatives, the Chimane people. I want that they really understand God's Word, so they will grow in God. I am also very concerned about those who are not yet believers so that they also hear God's Word by radio and in their meetings. Then if they repent they can be saved.

Therefore I say "Thank you," to God for you because you help us by supplying for the radio. We also thank God for our brother Bruce (Johnson). He works hard with me recording God's Word so that our relatives (fellow tribal members) can hear God's word in our own Chimane language. I hope you continue sending him funds to our brother Bruce and we will continue working for God teaching our relatives along with the other who work at the radio station.

We want to keep working for God because there are still many of our relatives do not yet believe in God, because many of them live far away from here. The radio station here, FM 105.5 truly helps our brothers who live far away so that they can continue hearing God's Word.

I also always pray to God for you that God's work done by you and by us also continues on.

Now the radio broadcasts are reaching out further; people who before couldn't hear the broadcasts are now able to hear them. We don't know yet the exact extent of the coverage but we know it is reaching out further than before. Thanks to God he spoke to you therefore you helped the radio station and you also gave your offerings for the operating costs of the radio. That comes out as a great blessing for us in our work for God of giving the Word to our relatives.
This is my testimony for you brothers.

I, Adrķan Roca send this.

Horeb, July 26, 2004

A testimony for you our brothers who live across the sea:

First I greet all of you of the church (God's group) who follow Jesus Christ and live across the sea. At the first, many years passed that our forefathers didn't at all know God's Word, but then afterwards God's time arrive and you sent the bringers of God's Word, those who knew God's Word.

At the first when they came there wasn't even one of our relatives (fellow tribal people) who believed in God, neither man or woman, nor did they know how to praise God nor pray to God. Then the missionaries arrived. First they studied our language; then when they taught them God's Word. Also they taught them to read; their thoughts were (plan was) so it wouldn't be hard for them to read God's Word.

We thank you for helping the bringers of God's because at that time there was none of it in our language. The missionaries would read in their language and then tell us in our language. There was God's Word in Spanish but we couldn't understand Spanish. After many years passed there were many of our relatives who believed in God, men and women, they knew how to praise God and pray to God. After a long time our relatives believed and then they themselves preached God's Word and helped the missionaries.

Then there was progress and even though not all of God's Word was written in our language in some of the villages there were teachers of the Word. After awhile some of them stopped preaching because they weren't paid for their living expenses. But some of us in the villages for many years taught the Word though we weren't paid.

Now the Bible is in our language and also many Bible study lessons; there is book with the beginning lessons, one with the second set of lessons, the third and fourth set also but our relatives have not been taught all of these. There are also lessons about how we are to work for God. We thank you for helping the missionaries so they could prepare these. But there is still lots of work lacking. There needs to be those who go to visit the villages to encourage the preachers so they continue working.

When God's time arrived then some of us were chosen to work for God. We left our work in the villages, our houses, our gardens and our relatives and we came to live here and Horeb to work for God. We make radio programs of God's Word so that our relatives, men and women, who are believers, and the ones who don't believe yet can hear.

We are not learned ones, that is we haven't studied in the seminaries where the Bible is studied. Even so we are believers in God and God's Spirit we possess in our hearts and he helps us so that we continue studying God's Word so we step by step know it. In this way God gives us wisdom for the programs we make. We do not hide the wisdom that God gives us.

I, Rosauro Plata send this.

HISTORY

Chimane radio broadcasting began unofficially in 1993 when seed money was given to begin an outreach ministry that provided recorded Bible messages in the Chimane language.

Today, seven years later, we now have a regular 1/2 hour program which is being broadcast on three different radio station, 7 days a week for a total of 2 hours a day.

We have seen and heard of listeners all over Chimane territory. They are beginning to hear. We praise God for this outreach ministry. We also praise God for those of you who have been personally involved by means of prayer and financial support.

With God's provision and blessing we will continue to reach out by means of radio to the thousands of isolated Chimane listeners. We covet your prayers for the needs of the broadcast ministry as well as for our listening audience. Faith cometh by hearing. God's Word is bearing heard, and its making a difference.
