Prayer needed: August 2004

Romans 10:17 – says faith cometh by hearing the word of God.

1. Please pray that many would desire to hear the Word of God and trust in His Word.
2. There are several key pieces of broadcasting equipment, which keep the broadcast going. We ask prayer for the receivers so that the people who are listening would get the message clearly and accept it willingly.
3. We ask prayer that the supply of radios and the sale of radios would continue. We would like to have a radio in every Chimane household.
4. We ask prayer for Adrian, Rosauro, Celso, Sandario and their families as they minister by radio. Studying, preparing, recording and being available to many others who stop by the studio to visit and ask questions.
5. We ask prayer for continued prayer warriors and financial help to keep the ministry of recording and broadcasting going for 2004 and beyond.

Praise for Provision in the ministry: August 2004

1. Praise God for His word reaching many by radio in Spanish and Chimane languages.
2. Praise God that the radio broadcasting was increased 3 1/2 hours each day. We are now on the air 15 ½ hours every day. 2 ½ hours of this is in the Chimane language with an extra hour on the weekend.
3. Praise God that radio sales are over 300, which we believe is because more Chimane’s want to hear their programs.

February 2003

One doesn't have to look too far back to be thankful. Our God is faithful! The one who created heaven and earth, the one who promises to return and make a new heaven and earth. These promises are much closer because God's Word is truth and many things are happening to remind us to redeem the time.

Last year, of course, was the year of radio here at Horeb. At least a live station, personnel, financial help, equipment and of course many folks praying in different parts of the world for the radio station.
God has been providing through His people, financial gifts from folks we have never met, prayers we never heard but saw answered by God's grace.

We say thank you Lord, praise your name and bless those partners who have supported and continue to support this work of yours. Many more are hearing God's Word because His children have helped this outreach.

Prayer Requests for 2003:

1. The Chimane fellows: Adrian, Mauricio, Selso, Rosauro, and Sandallio, and their families have a lot of responsibility spiritually. They are Bible teachers, they are not perfect. They have large families, they need prayer protection, financial help and good health to keep up such a calling.

2. Radio outreach by use of generator, recorders, computers, etc. - even though it is just nuts and bolts, glue and wire, we are grateful to have everything working.

3. Outside the studio where the listeners live - we desire to visit, encourage them during Bible courses and provide a place of comfort when they come here to Horeb to visit. This is an ongoing ministry at Horeb, a bilingual school for the Chimane people. We need your continued financial help.

4. Need outreach planned for 2003 and beyond. We are asking the Lord about increasing our fm power to 1 kilowatt. We would like to raise our antenna up 30 meters and also to expand our broadcast hours by three to four hours per day. It is all possible for 2003.

September 2001

1. Pray for the people to have a desire to listen to the radio programs.

2. Pray that the Holy Spirit will have liberty in the people's lives who are listening. That they will consider God's plan of salvation and be saved.

3. Pray for the follow up work in the surrounding villages and small communities.

4. Pray for additional monthly supporters, financially and prayer warriors to help us in this outreach by radio.

5. Pray for the organizing of the broadcasts, local programs in Spanish and the Bible programs in the Chimane language.

March 2001

Prayer Requests:

1. We understand that the radio license has been issued but it is not in our hands yet. Please continue to pray for this radio broadcasting license.

2. Ninety percent of our present equipment needs have been paid for. PTL! As time goes on we will still have some needs for equipment costs, so please pray about this.

3. Financially we are asking the Lord for monthly supporters. We are looking at a $20,000 a year budget. To date the monthly support level is around $300. The Lord knows we are still lacking in this area.

4. Please continue to pray for the listening audience. When we turn the station on we will be broadcasting in both Spanish and the Chimane languages. There could be a tremendous outpouring of God's word to many who would listen.

5. Pray for co workers - Bolivian, Chimane and American. There are many future needs as this radio outreach gets going.

6. Pray for expansion possibilities - guest house, water system, and discipleship opportunities.

7.  Pray for the Johnson's as they plan on returning to Bolivia sometime in June.  Pray for passage to return and for the increase needed in their monthly support.
